Who it is for
For anyone abroad who wants to edit their own videos properly: YouTube and TikTok creators, people who film weddings, church and community events, small business owners, and people who want editing as paid work.
Your teacher is a working professional at Klick Film & Design School in Addis Ababa, where over 2,000 students trained in a single year. Online, it is just you and them: they watch your screen, stop where you are stuck, and every session is spent on your work.
What you will learn
- Project setup, importing and organising footage, the timeline
- Cutting for story: pacing, J and L cuts, continuity, multicam
- Colour correction and cinematic grading, LUTs, Resolve nodes
- Dialogue editing, music sync, sound effects, noise removal, mixing
- Titles and lower thirds
- Exporting for YouTube, TikTok, Instagram and TV
- A complete edit of your own footage
Because the class is one-on-one, your teacher sets the order and the pace around what you want to make. The full in-person curriculum is on the Video Editing course page.
What you need
A laptop or desktop that can run Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve, headphones, and a stable connection. DaVinci Resolve has a free version. Send us your computer model and your teacher will confirm it works before you pay.
How it works
- Register online or message us on WhatsApp — tell us the country you live in and the hours you are free.
- We match you with a teacher — and agree the session times in your time zone, in Amharic, English or Tigrinya.
- Someone in Ethiopia pays in ETB — at our Mexico or CMC Michael campus, so nothing has to be sent internationally.
- Class starts on Zoom — as soon as your times are agreed.
